I have the BRIMNES daybed. Same measurements, different style. I use it with a MORDEGAL 5" mattress. I have a second one in the basement that I bring out to use when the trundle is pulled out. The bed is sturdy and comfortable if you use proper thick mattress. I would not recommend the folding IKEA mattress made for this bed even for small.
